A MESSAGE FROM THE HOTLINE COORDINATOR:

In order to clear up some apparent confusion about teams maintaining their status on the HOTLINE, I thought that the following statements would help everyone to understand ICISF policy concerning the HOTLINE DATABASE INFORMATION. As has been stated on several occasions it is imperative that current, correct information be available when requests are made to the HOTLINE or ICISF offices for assistance. It was very evident in the days following September 11^th that some of the information for team contact was not current or functional. This resulted in delays in providing assistance and in many teams not being available to ICISF or the HOTLINE even though they were still in existence.

ALL TEAMS LISTED ON THE ICISF HOTLINE MUST PRESENT AN UPDATED "TEAM INFORMATION FORM" ANNUALLY IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN "CURRENT" (formerly designated as Active) STATUS ON THE HOTLINE.

This means that all sections of the Team Information Form must be completed each year; this includes contact information (Section A) as well as Sections B, C, D, E, F, G, and H which cover current makeup of team as well as mission areas, activity, etc.
Routine changes (to telephone numbers, addresses, etc.) should and can be submitted to ICISF at any time in written form but will not be considered the annual update for team information. No verbal or telephone changes will be accepted.

Teams that do not update all information annually will be marked as "Not Updated" (formerly designated as Inactive) on the HOTLINE, and the last update date will be indicated to callers when the information is given out. A team will not be removed from the listing without every attempt being made to contact the team and have their information brought up to date.

The status of your team can be checked on the ICISF Web page where the lists of both "Current" and "Not updated" teams are posted. This list is dated and changed frequently (but not instantly! :) ). If you have updated your team later than the date shown on the Web page, please check again when the new lists are posted.
