The multi-phase, multi-tactic process known as Critical Incident Stress Management has become the standard of care utilized by agencies and communities across the United States and around the world when emergency mental health assistance is needed after a crisis.

The need for trained crisis responders has never been greater. War, terrorism, school shootings, and natural disasters, as well as various "small-scale" critical incidents with significant local impact take their emotional toll on those directly and indirectly involved. By attending an ICISF workshop, you will become a part of a caring community of thousands trained to help the helpers and others impacted by traumatic events.

The ICISF Conferences are "must attend" experiences for anyone working in the fields of Crisis Intervention, Disaster Response, Education, Emergency Services, Employee Assistance, Healthcare, Homeland Security, Human Resources, Mental Health, Military, Spiritual Care, Transportation and Traumatic Stress. A variety of workshops are taught by our renowned instructors during a four or five day conference. Registrants have the opportunity to attend 1 - 3 workshops, earn Continuing Education, network with CISM practitioners from around the world, discuss CISM team issues with ICISF faculty and staff, and fulfill program requirements for ICISF's Certificate of Specialized Training Program.
