This is a half-hour OnDemand course, originally recorded at ICISF’s 13th World Congress in May 2015.
The use of a self-assessment tool to capture our own continued learning from any response we provide, helps us to identify our need for self-care and can help to build our resilience and to transfer lessons learned from one environment to another to enhance the quality of response provided to people rendered vulnerable as the result of a crisis situation.
- Define the learning from an incident for self and for colleagues in the team
- Assess the personal impact from providing the response to an incident and plan for self-care
- Demonstrate an understanding of the need to share the learning from an incident with a proposed action plan
