O’Rear, Christina

As an officer with the Grapevine Police Department for 28 years, Tina shares her expertise in enhancing crisis response capabilities.  She is an instructor for TCOLE and the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF). Her commitment to excellence was recognized with the 2022 ICISF Excellence in Training and Education award.  In 2017, she was honored as the “Unsung Hero” in the Crisis Response Community by ICISF.  She has been Grapevine PD’s Peer Support/CISM Team and Mental Health Coordinator since 2012.

As a Certified Critical Incident Response K9 handler, Tina brings a unique skill set to her work with K9 Remi at her side. Her dedication was further acknowledged when she was named the Texas Crisis Intervention Team Mental Health Officer of the Year and the Hometown Hero for the Twenty-Fourth Congressional District of Texas in 2022.

Tina O’Rear’s career is characterized by a commitment to training, education, and peer support, exemplifying her tireless efforts to enhance the mental health and resilience of those in law enforcement. She enjoys the outdoors, travelling, hockey (Go Stars!) and spending time with family.

 

Tina looks forward to serving as the Texas Law Enforcement Peer Network Regional Director for North Texas, fostering connections and support among peers in the law enforcement community.
