First H.E.L.P., #IWillListen Campaign Earns Silver at the Inaugural Anthem Awards

#IWillListen was released to normalize seeking help among first responders, not only giving them permission to talk about their mental health but to let them know hundreds of people were willing to listen to their concerns. By lifting the veil and getting other first responders and their supporters to recognize the need for open discussion, we hoped to affect change in the first responder culture.

It is the mission of First H.E.L.P. to reduce mental health stigma through education, advocate for benefits for those suffering from post-traumatic stress, acknowledge the service and sacrifice and support the families of first responders we lost to suicide, assist first responders in their search for healing, lead policy makers and legislators toward necessary change, and to bring awareness to suicide and mental health issues within public safety.
